ARE INJECTABLE TREATMENTS PROVEN TO BE EFFECTIVE?

Depending on the treatment and indication for the treatment. All injectable medication ingredients are Health Canada approved. The ingredients are sometimes combined or used for different indications other than what they are originally approved for. Because these products are compounded by a pharmacy, specific data about efficacy of the specific compounded product is not available.

Many wellness interventions do not have the gold standard "double-blinded randomized controlled trial" data. Smaller studies, safety data and large related but not necessarily identical studies are typically relied on for determining dosing, interval, benefits, complications, and safety. For example, the data from a large study examining the injection of a compounded vitamin C and Zinc cocktail could be used as a reference for the positive effects of a treatment, however, unless the active and inactive molecules and formulations are completely identical, the exact results cannot be applied to other settings.

Injectable medications provide an alternative pharmacokinetic route for the product to enter the body than traditional oral routes. Sometimes the digestion process in the stomach can alter or render ingredients less effective. Patients like having products such as NAD, Vitamin C, Glutathione, and Vitamin B12 injected because of how the products make them look and feel.

HOW DO YOU DETERMINE YOUR PRICES?

At HUMANOLOGIE HEALTH&WELLNESS, we are passionate about eliminating barriers to care. Everybody deserves to be able to look and feel their best and we work hard to keep our prices affordable. For uninsured services (such as aesthetic interventions), we meticulously calculate prices based on factors such as consumable, supplies, duration of treatment, provider compensation, level of invasiveness/risk of treatment, and operational costs.

DO YOU REQUIRE A CREDIT CARD OR DEPOSIT FOR BOOKING?

All aesthetic & wellness appointments require a valid credit card and $1 deposit to confirm. The card is charged $1 only to ensure validity of the card. The $1 charge will be credited to your outstanding balance after your appointment.

If appointments are missed or are cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment time, your credit card on file will be charged. The following formula determines the charged rate: (originally scheduled duration of appointment * provider's rate) + operational surcharge + wasted materials fee (if applicable) .

Following a missed appointment or late cancellation, all future appointments will need to be approved by a staff member prior to rebooking.
