Prior to booking treatments, you will be given access to a copy of this policy document and prompted to sign. Policies are subject to change.
The goal of Humanologie Health & Wellness is to increase access to primary care and aesthetic and wellness services and improve transparency for patients. To facilitate access, we keep prices for uninsured services as low as possible. Prices are meticulously calculated to account for operational costs, human costs, product and consumable cost, and supplies. To comply with federal legislation, we do not price match or offer sale prices on drug based services. Any bundling of products resulting in discounted rates for non-drug based services can only be applied to same day treatments and can't be carried over.
We accept payment via credit card, debit card, and e-transfer. We pass on a convenience fee to customers that is charged to us by our service provider to use credit cards; there is no fee for debit card use. We can accept cash but we do not keep cash on the premises so we may not have change. All prices are subject to change without notice. Taxes are not included in quoted prices and will be added on at checkout. We do not provide refunds or exchanges on services/products. Exceptions are granted only at the discretion of the Clinic Director on a case-by-case basis.
Credit cards are required for all bookings to guarantee the time slot. The card is stored safely through Stripe and will not be accessed, used, or charged aside from the following special circumstances:
late cancellations (within 24 hours) or no-shows to appointments are charged a fee that is calculated as follows:
(originally scheduled duration of appointment * provider's hourly rate) + operational surcharge + wasted materials fee (if applicable) + taxes = total charge.
To comply with provincial regulation and legislation, we do not accept financial tips at Humanologie Health & Wellness. We greatly appreciate your support and generous offers to provide tips. Please instead refer your friends and family to us, write google reviews, and share our social media content to increase our engagement and reach. We love what we do and want to share it with amazing people like you. To show our support for our clients, we have a referral program in place (refer to give $20 and get $20 when they spend >$100) as well as an automatic, no-fee membership reward system. Each purchase you make contributes points toward a rewards bank that can be applied to future purchases over $100. Balances can be checked in the patient portal at any time.
Fully completed intake questionnaires and photos prior to each treatment (and in some cases after) are mandatory for clinical records and pre-assessment purposes. Please note, Humanologie Health & Wellness does not post “before and after” type photos to safeguard patient confidentiality. All treatments require a thorough pre-assessment as each treatment has different inclusion and exclusion criteria. Patient safety is the main priority at HUMANOLOGIE HEALTH & WELLNESS. Staff can refuse to provide treatment. These decisions are usually made in the case of violence or patient/staff safety but this list is not exhaustive. If a referral is needed to ensure continuity of care, we will make that on your behalf.
All treatments provided are based on extensive clinical practice experience and large bodies of scientific evidence and data after a thorough assessment to ensure your candidacy for treatment. The interventions we provide at Humanologie Health & Wellness have been chosen because of their efficacy, safety, and universality. The doses and treatments we recommend are based on manufacturer testing data, data in scientific literature, clinical experience, and findings from individual patient assessments. Some treatments that we provide are not standard or "indicated" per their original Health Canada Licensing and are considered off-label uses. All treatments offered or negotiated have been clinically or theoretically demonstrated to be safe but there may be unknown risks associated with the treatments. With all medical interventions, there are risks that can range from no response to the treatment to causing significant harm, potentially death. A risk-benefit discussion is part of the consent process and deviations from standard indications will be discussed and agreed upon prior to treatment. Should we recommend a dose/treatment and you instead consent only to a different dose, we can often provide the desired treatment/dose if it is safe. However, the modified dose could have unpredictable or suboptimal outcomes and this will be discussed with you prior to commencing treatment. You may rescind consent or decline treatment at any phase of the treatment process as long as it is safe to do so, however you will be responsible for payment for cost of used supplies and the time of the healthcare provider. Humanologie Health & Wellness does not guarantee the results of treatments. Everyone is unique and responds differently to medications and interventions. Some treatments require multiple treatments, touch ups, or further treatment after the initial treatment—patients are responsible for all follow up treatment costs unless otherwise specified. In the case that a treatment produces unexpected results or does not achieve the therapeutic goal, patients bear the financial cost for further treatment or correction (if desired).
Science and medicine are always changing and growing. In a similar vein, HUMANOLOGIE HEALTH & WELLNESS strives to embrace a culture of adaptivity and continued growth. We gratefully accept feedback (constructive and positive!) so we can serve our clients better allowing us to grow together.
